At times of personal emergencies, thousands of military families depend on Armed Forces Emergency Services (AFES) around the clock and around the world to speed urgent messages to loved ones in the United States Armed Forces. Because of this service, the men and women in the Armed Forces are kept informed of important family news ranging from the birth of a child to the death of loved ones.

If you choose to volunteer for this service, you could work at home providing support and a communication link between military personnel and their families.
