About Us
Our Mission: The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. The Eastern Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross serves more than 220,000 individuals in Berkeley, Grant, Hardy, Hampshire, Jefferson, Morgan and Pendleton Counties.

Locally, the Eastern Panhandle Chapter of the American Red Cross provided relief to the victims of more than 87 disasters this year; facilitated more than 104 emergency messages between our deployed men and women in uniform and their loved ones here at home; provided transportation to 1029 veterans; trained more than 4700 individuals in lifesaving skills through 512 classes; and held 205 blood drives which yielded 5900 pints of useable blood which supplies all of our hospitals.
The American Red Cross is not a government agency and it relies on the generosity of the people of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia to fulfill its mission to help people prevent, prepare for and respond to disasters and other lifesaving emergencies.
